Yes. Each licence is tied to one named admin and cannot be shared, but a company administrator can transfer it to another admin in your organisation from the dashboard: select the licence and use Transfer.

Yes. For 7 days you get the GUI, PowerShell module, CLI and MCP server, with up to 25 application captures and no credit card. Trial captures are for evaluation, not production use. When the trial ends nothing is charged, because we never ask for a card.

Subscribe to Forge on Azure Marketplace and the charge appears on your Microsoft invoice. You then activate the subscription here, and your licences appear on your Overview page to assign.

Licences bought by card renew from your dashboard, and renewal reminders arrive before the date. Azure Marketplace subscriptions renew automatically unless you turn auto-renew off in Azure.

Yes. The courses, the exam and the certificate are free with any account, trial included. A certificate is valid for 12 months, and renewing it is free: you retake the exam (80% to pass) without repeating the lessons.

Everything in Forge for one admin user for a year: the GUI, PowerShell module, CLI and MCP server, unlimited installer-less captures, MSI and App-V to MSIX conversion, PSF fix-ups, MSIX, App Attach, IntuneWin and MSI output, and 12 months of maintenance and updates.

Not every one. In our published study (a preprint, not yet peer reviewed), Forge's automated workflow built an MSIX for 90.68% of 3,261 Windows application cases, and 80.04% passed a recorded smoke test. Applications with complex dependencies, custom installers or specific system requirements can need a PSF fix-up, extra configuration or manual work. The honest test is your own applications: the trial is free.

Capture runs on any version from Windows XP SP3 to Windows 11: the capture agent is a single portable executable with no installer or runtime prerequisites. Building and signing the MSIX happens on Windows 10 (version 1709 or later) or Windows 11. The output is MSIX, App Attach, IntuneWin and MSI.

EtherApps Forge supports Windows Server 2008 R2, 2012, 2016, 2019, 2022 and 2025. RDS (Remote Desktop Services) environments are fully supported for application packaging and deployment.

Card payments through Stripe, Azure Marketplace on your Microsoft invoice, and orders through approved channel partners. Prices are per admin user per year, VAT is added at checkout, and your invoices and VAT receipts are in your portal.
